SixTrack and FLUKA are simulation tools regularly used at CERN to perform LHC collimation studies. Until recently the communication between the two codes was weakly based on the use of file exchange. The present paper describes the current status of the FLUKA – SixTrack coupling, a TCP/IP interface to provide seamless communication between them and to finally behave like a single running program.
