Resonant extraction
Keywords:
Resonant extraction, slow extraction, Kobayashi HamiltonianAbstract
Resonant extraction has its roots in the early cyclotrons where the emphasis was on increasing inter-turn separation. HEP synchrotrons followed in the 1960s, but this time the emphasis was on extending the spill time. This lecture will concentrate on the 1/3rd integer resonance extraction for synchrotrons that is widely used in medical machines.
