Transfer lines are used to connect accelerators or deliver beam to fixed target experiments. In the following sections the design steps of a transfer line are introduced, starting from back-of-the-envelope calculations. The second part focuses on matching tools for optics design and related hardware specifications. The third part collects special topics which can appear in beam lines.Downloads
