Science and art are often presented as fundamentally different domains: one grounded in evidence and consensus, the other in ambiguity and interpretation. Yet this opposition is only partial. Scientific knowledge is not simply empirical observation, as it also involves the testing of theoretical models, while artistic practice is not merely expression but a generator of knowledge through experience, symbol, and interpretation.
